Happy Monday! Photo of the day

I try not to always choose one of "my" pictures for the photo of the day but I just couldn't help myself today.  Not only is this my adorable, sweet, amazing nephew....but he is modeling one of my favorite bunny hats.  I have been knee deep in bunny's lately and this one just makes me SMILE and reminds me so much of spring.

ENJOY!

Happy Spring!

Well, I completely failed at blogging this week.  SPRING IS HERE so we have been busy out side a lot, cooking out for dinner almost every night and playing until the mosquito's start to bite!  LOL

I have also been busy getting ready for Easter.  It sure did seem to sneak up on me this year.  I promise to do better next year and post all the new cute stuff earlier!  :-)

Here are a few of the fun little things I have been working on this week.  I have several more to make...these are just so cute and FUN!

Meet Riley Rabbit.  This little guy was made as a special request and named after a very sweet girls dearly departed pet bunny!  I hope this will bring a smile to her face Easter morning!

I just had to make Riley a special treat.  After butchering several carrots during my sewing machine attempts.  I gave it up and just hand sewed this one!  I may try sewing on a machine again at some point but for now I will stick to what I know and what is easy for me.

I will be making a few more of these cute carrots for my kids Easter baskets.

Introducing HUNNY BUNNY!  I just adore her!  I made this one for my daughter.  She will be waiting anxiously to great her new owner on Easter morning.

I loved Riley so much, I decided my youngest son needed one too.  This Riley Rabbit will be in my son's Easter basket :-)

One of my all time favorite hats.  The Sweet Scallops Beanie.  This one is going to be worn by a sweet new baby girl.  Something about this hat just say's SPRING to me :-)

This is a picture of the Sweet Scallops beanie being modeled.  I adore this!!!  Looking at it makes me feel all warm!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!

If you are a fan of my shop, it is no secret that "I" am a HUGE fan of Crazy Socks Crochet.  As I started my little business adventure, she was one of the very first, if not THE first pattern shop I stumbled across that I fell in love with.

Her patterns are simple, creative, FUN and very well written.  So many of Crazy Socks Crochet patterns are my "go to" patterns for several of the items in my shop.

Aside from being a fantastic pattern designer, she makes the most adorable finished products also.  She sells her finished products in her other shop AmeliaCalvin

Friday Shout Outs - Bitty Beanies

There are so many amazing shops out there but there is just something extra special about this one.  Take a moment to stop by and check out her facebook page HERE and you will see just how special it is.

This shop is run by a 13 year old girl.  She has a love for dolls and a passion for crocheting.  She reminds me so much of myself as I started crocheting at the age of 8 and have loved it ever since.

She makes some amazingly cute doll accessories and even some for the big kids too.  How I would have loved all these cute accessories for my dolls when I was her age.  Such a special gift she has!

Her most recent album displays some of her work in action and gives you a glimpse into this young, creative mind.  Check it out - HERE.  Each picture has it's own little story to tell.
I love it! :-)

I look forward to seeing her, her craft and her shop grow!

Thankful Thursday

This is not crochet relate but hey, not everything has to be...right?  :-)

I am thankful for so many things, it is really hard to pick what I want to talk about each week.  Now of course I am thankful for ALL 3 of my kids.  They are the most amazing blessings in my life and I could easily write a blog post about each one of them.

Today I choose to focus on my oldest, my first born, my amazing son...LOGAN!

I am so Thankful for the day I first found out I was pregnant with him, it was early in my marriage and only a few months after a miscarriage.  He was the baby I always new I wanted, longed for and was meant to have.  There are really no words to describe the feeling when I first saw him and first held him.  Just thinking about it now brings a rush of emotion over me.

He made me a mommy and he continues to make me a better mommy every day.  Helping him to grow, teaching him and being a part of his daily life has taught ME so many things about who I am and the person I am meant to be.  He makes me a better person!

Anyone that gets a chance to know Logan is blessed and Iam the lucky one that gets to be his mommy :-)

I am so THANKFUL for that!

Friday Shout Outs - Holly Craft Originals

TGIF!  I don't know about you but I am so happy it is Friday.   I know I am a WAHM so my week days and weekends are not a ton different but it is so nice to wake up slowly with the kids on Saturday and Sunday and to have my husband home (tomorrow will be his first day home/off work in 2 weeks) and just have family time together.

Anyway, I decided to dedicate my Fridays to doing shouts outs about my favorite shops and businesses.  There are so many wonderful WAHM shops out there!

For my very first Friday Shout Out, I have decided to choose Holly Craft.  Holly is an amazing crafter and can create pretty much ANYTHING with some fabric and some thread.  I have ordered many items from Holly and have never been let down.  I am more impressed with every purchase.

Holly specializes in fabric appliques from upcycled denim.  They are amazing!!

You can find Holly on her website HERE, on her blog HERE or on Etsy HERE

Here are a few pictures of items I have made using Holly Craft appliques

Love Bird Beanie, applique by Holly

Stocking ornament with star applique by Holly

Mohawk hat with skull applique by Holly

Thing 1, Thing 2 beanies...Appliques by Holly

My little girl modeling a pillow case dress made by Holly

Amelia Earwarmer, cupcake applique by Holly

This is just a SMALL amount of examples.  I use Holly's appliques on a LOT of my crochet work.

Have a GREAT day!
